Here are some stories of how the Bible has changed lives:

Shawn:

"I was in a marriage going all wrong, and I had nowhere to turn.  I cried a lot and was so depressed.  I knew enough to go to church because I felt so broken.  God called me one Sunday at church so i joined Triumph Baptist Church with pastor Hall.  It made me whole after some time.  My husband ended up leaving me after a lot of cheating.  I became new, fresh, blessed.  Even though I never wanted my husband to leave me, my self esteem was so low, but God picked me up and turned things around, and today I am happy.  I'm okay with my marriage being over.  My self esteem is so much better I love me, more important I love the Lord.  Without God I couldn't have made it, he wiped so many tears, I leaned so hard on him in that first few months. He is awesome I never want to be without him in my life, first in my life.  One more thing, I was told I would never have anymore children but God made a way: I'm raising my sister's son since birth.  Ain't God good?  He can do anything.

Jay Cuzzolina:

“I was gifted a Bible from my great aunt at age 10. And remarkably I started reading through it regularly. What I remember is realizing that these were real stories about real people facing real challenges. It helped me, even at such a young age, to know how to respond to real challenges I was facing.”

Jeremy Eshelman:

“I grew up in a home that read the Bible frequently, however I never made time to study it on my own until I went to College.  It was then that I made a conscious effort to read the Bible every day.  Since then, I have learned a lot about my relationship with God, and my role as a human being.  To this day, I continue to learn from it: about God, about myself, and about how to live in this difficult world.”

Mark Rader (of City Reachers):

"I received a call from a man in Philadelphia that works in a prison and he came across the Philadelphia CityReachers New Testament in his work area. He committed his life to Christ a couple of years ago and the Philly New Testament helped him to get established in his faith and in the Word. He was asked to speak at the annual memorial service for a little girl that was murdered in Philly in 2000 and Edgar asked me if he could get some Philly NTs to hand out at that rally on July 29th. He expected several hundred people to attend and so we sent him 1,000 Philly NTs. I’m awaiting an update from him but the bottom line is that God’s Word ( in this case the CityReachers New Testament) impacted Edgar and progressed to this wonderful opportunity to hand out New Testaments to possibly hundreds of people."
